Tips

  • If you are printing your binder covers at home, it is highly recommended to use a fresh ink cartridge and higher quality paper. White card stock or 24lb - 32lb paper is best.
  • Borderless Printing: Check your printer for a borderless printing option. If your printer does not have the option for borderless printing, the page design will not print to the edges and there will be a white border along the sides.

 Editing Monogram Binder Covers

 Printable Binder Cover Monogram Format

  • Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader on your computer. Using another program may not display the correct fonts or text alignment.
  • Editable Text Fields: If the file has editable text fields they will appear as blue boxes in Adobe Reader (refer to individual product listing descriptions to see if the file has editable text). It is recommended to save the file after adding new information to each page. I also recommend closing the file, re-opening it, and making sure your changes have saved before adding text throughout the entire document.
  • Editable Monogram: Please note that files with editable monograms can not be changed to plain text. The monogram area will accommodate a single initial or 3 initials.
  • 3 initial monogram format:
    • First Name Initial: lowercase
    • Last Name Initial: uppercase
    • Middle Name Initial: lowercase
  • Single Initial format:
    • Initial: Uppercase
  • Editable Plain Text: Please note that the font in the plain text binder covers can not be changed. The plain text can be edited to be a name or subject.
  • Don't like the plain text font or color? See the instructions for adding your own custom text.

  • Editable Text: Please note that files with editable plain text can not be changed to the monogram font. Editable text binder covers come with two files:
    • Single Line Binder Covers
    • Double Line Binder Covers
  • Single Line Binder Covers:
    • You will only be able to fit one line of text on the cover.
  • Double Line Binder Covers:
    • Each line is a different font and each line will need to be edited individually.

Printing the Binder Covers

Binder Cover Printing Instructions by Jessica Marie Design

  1. Once your edited file is open in Adobe Reader select "File > Print".
  2. Click on the "Page Setup" button and select "Borderless 8.5 x 11 inches". (Check printer manual for this capability). Not all printers are able to print borderless. If your printer does not have borderless printing as an option then you will get a thin white border around the edges of the paper.
  3. Print the binder covers and spines on card stock.
  4. Trim the spine that you need for your binder.
  5. Insert the binder covers and spines into your binder.
