Art Printable Printing Instructions by Jessica Marie Design

Materials 

  • Art PDF or JPEG Files
  • Adobe Reader - Free Download 
  • Printer 
  • Photo paper or Card stock in the size of the printable 
  • Frame

 

Files with Multiple Sizes

If the printable file you downloaded includes multiple sizes the PDF file will be in this order:

  • Page 1: 11 x 14 inches (this size is meant to be printed at a print shop, most home printers will not print in this size)
  • Page 2: 8 x 10 inches
  • Page 3: 5 x 7 inches
  • Page 4: 4 x 6 inches

Printing the PDF file at Home on Letter Paper 

* This works for designs size 8.5 x 11 inches and smaller.

  1. Once your file is open in Adobe Reader select "File > Print".
  2. In the "Pages to Print" Menu, select "Pages" and type in the page number you want to print. For downloads that include multiple sizes please keep in mind that the PDF file will have all the different sizes in order from largest to smallest. 
  3. In the "Page Size & Handling" Menu, select "Size > Actual Size".
  4. In the "Orientation" Menu, Select "Auto portrait/landscape"
  5. Click on the "Page Setup" button, in the "Paper Size" Menu select "US Letter" and click "Ok".
  6. In the main menu select "print".
  7. Once the file is printed, trim off the extra paper around the design, place the art print in a frame and enjoy! 

 

Printing the PDF file at Home on Photo Paper

  1. Once your file is open in Adobe Reader select "File > Print". 
  2. In the "Pages to Print" Menu, select "Pages" and type in the page number you want to print. For downloads that include multiple sizes please keep in mind that the PDF file will have all the different sizes in order from largest to smallest.
  3. In the "Page Size & Handling" Menu, select "Size > Actual Size".
  4. In the "Orientation" Menu, Select "Portrait"
  5. Click on the "Page Setup" button, in the "Paper Size" Menu select the size that corresponds to the size you are printing "8x10, 5x7, 4x6 or 8x10, 5x7, 4x6 Borderless" and click "Ok". Keep in mind that not all printers print borderless. If your printer does not do borderless printing then your design may have a white border around the edges.
  6. In the main menu select "print".
  7. Once the file is printed, place the art print in a frame and enjoy!

 

Printing the JPEG file at a Print Shop or Online 

  1. If you are having the file printed at a Print Shop or Online Print Shop you will most likely need to use the JPEG file. 
  2. If you are taking the files to a print shop, simply load your files to a USB and print on the photo paper that corresponds to the size you are printing.
  3. If you are printing online, upload the JPEG file to the print shops website and select to print on photo paper that corresponds to the size you are printing.
